Should I Buy a Used Or New Mazda 6?
Reader’s Question:
I’m in the market for a sedan, and I’ve gotten curious about the Mazda 6. Can someone offer some advice? I want to schedule a trip to my dealer here in Texas.

Hey, Erwin, advice on the Mazda 6 is coming your way before you set off on your way to any Texas Mazda dealer. I have some friends also curious about the car. So, we’ve been discussing how to look for and appreciate this vehicle from the Mazda Company. One thing is already clear to us, though, the Mazda 6 is definitely a step up from its predecessor, the Mazda 626.
I’d first take a look at the available trim levels. For one car, this sure is confusing if I wanted to buy it. At the current model year, there are seven trims available. There are four trim levels available with a 2.5 liter Dual Overhead Cam engine (DOHC) with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and these are the iSV, iSport, iTouring and iGrand Touring. Standard on these trims is the 6-speed manual transmission, while an option for a 5-speed automatic is available on the Touring, Grand Touring and Sport trims. All can rev up to 170 hp at 6,000 rpm. If you want to kick it up a notch, the three trims on the S models will give you up to 272 hp at 6,250 rpm with their 3.7 liter DOHC 24-valve 6 cylinder engine. That kind of power will come in handy for that sudden burst of speed when you are in a tight spot on the road. The trims on the S models, sTouring, sSport and sGrand Touring also differ from the four other trims with their 6-speed Sport Automatic transmission. In terms of suspension and drive quality, the independent front suspension and multi-link rear will give a comfortable ride in varying pavement conditions. One thing worth looking at is the speed sensing power assist for the steering system. This makes for better handling of the vehicle on different driving conditions.
What is The Best Houston Mazda Dealer?
I think it’s pretty obvious what the best Houston Mazda is, and that’s the Miata, which has a long history as one of the best convertible sports cars in the industry, so obviously best Houston Mazda would be no trick for it. I bought mine from Gillman best Houston Mazda, and I was able to negotiate it down a couple thousand, although it’s already cheap for its class.
I think that the Miata is the best Houston Mazda I’ve driven especially when it comes to fun–you don’t know it until you experience it. In addition to that, it’s very economic and quick.
Should You Use This Houston Mazda Dealer?
The first car which caught my eye at my Houston Mazda dealer was the Mazda3, a very small car which is what I was looking for since I don’t like bulky cars. Still, I wanted to have room to move around in, which is something rare in compact cars. As my dealer salesperson showed me, the Mazda3 is unique in its spaciousness–I think this is because it is a lot less cluttered and bulky than other compact cars. You cut down on a lot of room when you make things easy to understand.
Since bringing my Mazda3 home from my dealer, I’ve gotten used to its agile handling and great storage space. The fuel economy isn’t quite what I thought it would be, but it’s still up there. The dealer I used was Joe Meyers Mazda, and I liked dealing with Daniel in new car sales.
Would You Recommend A Mazda Dealer in Houston Please?
I was looking for a sports utility vehicle at my local Mazda dealer in Houston, and I found the Mazda Tribute. It was on sale since they have the 2008 cars coming in, and it had a style that I didn’t see in many cars at the Mazda dealer in Houston.
I had seen the Tribute before the last time I came to a dealer in Houston several years ago, and it has changed a lot since then, mostly when it comes to the design, which has been updated and styled out. It’s a very comfortable SUV, although for people who want something a little more off-road ready they might have to keep looking around. I have heard good things about Gillman and Joe Myers Mazda dealers, can anyone give a recommendation on either one?
